Jamie Ben Raskin is an American attorney and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Maryland’s 8th congressional district since 2017.

He was once the Maryland State Senator from 2007 to 2016. In 1990 he married his lifelong partner Sarah Bloom Raskin and the two have been blessed with three children, Thomas Bloom Raskin, Tabitha Claire Raskin, and Hannah Grace Raskin.
