It has been confirmed that Jacques O’Neill has left Love Island.
The rugby star has departed the villa following a spat with Adam Collard, which was hinted at in Wednesday night’s show.
‘Jacques has decided to leave the Villa,’ a Love Island spokesperson revealed.
‘He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode. We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques.’
Jacques has had a turbulent few weeks after kissing Cheyanne Kerr during Casa Amor week and upsetting Paige Thorne.
During last night’s episode, he sent her a grovelling apology, which seemed to go down well – until Adam showed there.
Adam continued with Paige, who was clearly taken aback by the return of the islander.
Just last week, Jacques considered leaving the program after it became clear that his relationship with Paige was finished.
Viewers were outraged by his behavior in Casa Amor, which didn’t improve when Paige returned to the resort and he initially refused to apologize for kissing another female.
