Lord Jacob Rothschild, an 87-year-old financier and philanthropist, passed away, according to his family.
“Our father Jacob was a towering presence in many people’s lives,” Rothschild’s family said in a statement to the news agency PA on Monday. “He will be buried in accordance with Jewish custom in a small family ceremony,” the family added.
