Jacob William Rees-Mogg better known as Jacob Rees-Mogg is a 53-year-old British politician serving as Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy since 6 September 2022. He previously served as Minister of State for Brexit Opportunities and Government Efficiency in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Boris Johnson in 2022 and Leader of the House of Commons and Lord President of the Council from 2019 to 2022.

Jacob and his siblings are the five children who were born in Hammersmith, London, to William Rees-Mogg their father who was an editor of The Times newspaper, created a life peer in 1988, and his wife Gillian Shakespeare Morrison their mother who was also formerly his secretary and daughter of Thomas Richard Morris, a lorry driver, car salesman, local government politician, and Conservative mayor of St Pancras in London.
Jacob is one of five children, he has three elder siblings who are Emma Beatrice Rees-Mogg, Emma was born in 1962 and currently, she is 60 years old, Charlotte Louise Rees-Mogg, was born in 1964 and is currently 58 years old, and Thomas Fletcher Rees-Mogg who was also born in 1966 and she is also currently 56 years old, and one younger sister name Annunziata Rees-Mogg who was born in 1979 and she is 43 years old.
In 1964 their family purchased Ston Easton Park, a country house near the village of Ston Easton in Somerset, where they grew up attending weekly mass and occasionally Sunday school at the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Ghost, Midsomer Norton.
