Jack Dorsey shocked the world by announcing his departure from Twitter in November 2021.
He remarked,
“I’ve chosen to leave Twitter because I feel the company is ready to transition away from its creator,” Dorsey said in a statement
“My faith in Parag [Agrawal] as Twitter’s CEO is unwavering. His work over the last decade has been transformative. I’m grateful for his talent, passion, and soul. It’s his turn to take the reins.”
Following the announcement, Twitter shares rose by up to 9%, while Square, of which Dorsey is also CEO, rose by 3%.
Currently, he is the founder and principal executive officer of Block, Inc., a financial payments company.
With Elon in line to purchase Twitter, Dorsey had a lot to say and set straight.
This article covers that.
Jack Dorsey on Elon Musk Twitter takeover: What did he say?
Dorsey believes Musk’s ideas for growing Twitter’s subscription business are on the correct track.
Musk has also stated that the transaction is not a method to earn money but to make it more fun.
In any case, think more broadly. Dorsey remarked,
“Twitter is the closest thing we have to global consciousness. However, Elon is the sole answer I trust for the challenge of [Twitter] being a corporation.
I believe in his goal to spread the light of consciousness.”
