Memphis Grizzlies’ star player, Ja Morant, has officially returned to the team following his suspension over a controversial gun video. Head coach Taylor Jenkins said that if everything goes according to plan, Morant could suit up for Memphis as early as Wednesday.

Morant had been away from the Grizzlies for almost three weeks after he was suspended for violating the league’s health and safety protocols. Upon his return to the team on Monday, the 23-year-old addressed his teammates and coaches.

Following his suspension, Morant sought help and checked into a counseling program in Florida. In a recent sit-down interview with Jalen Rose, Morant claimed that the gun in the controversial video did not belong to him and that he had made a mistake. He expressed a desire to put the drama behind him and change the negative narrative surrounding him.

Morant’s return to the Grizzlies couldn’t come at a better time, as the team looks to make a deep playoff push in an open Western Conference. If everything goes well, he could be back on the hardwood as soon as Wednesday night against the Rockets.
