The Adam Project: Plot
Fighter pilot Adam Reed steals a time jet in a dystopian 2050 in order to travel to 2018 and save his wife, Laura Shane. He suffers injuries along the process and crash-lands in 2022.
The focus of the narrative then changes to Adam, a 12-year-old in 2022 whose father Louis passed away a year earlier. He is bullied at school, has a fighting suspension, and has a strained relationship with his mother, Ellie.
One night when he is alone at home, he discovers the hurt future, Adam. Future Adam accidentally gives the names of the younger Adam and his dog, Hawking, but the younger Adam refuses to believe the stranger.
The younger Adam quickly understands that the stranger in front of him is indeed him in the future.
