Rapper Jasiel Amon Robinson, also known as Yung Joc, was born on September 20, 1980, in the United States.
He gained the most notoriety with the 2006 single “It’s Goin’ Down.” in addition to being a featured artist on “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’),” T-US Pain’s number-one single.
In the spring of 2005, Robinson and Atlanta producer Nitti Beatz collaborated to create the hit song “It’s Goin’ Down.” After working with him, Russell “Block” Spencer, who founded the Block Enterprises label, signed Robinson to Sean Combs’ Bad Boy South. The same year, Robinson’s debut album, New Joc City, was made available by Bad Boy.
Robinson also had an appearance on the songs “Show Stopper” by Danity Kane from Diddy’s Making The Band 4 and “Call U Out” by Cassie from her album. Robinson was ranked No. 20 on “Forbes’ Richest Rappers List” in 2006 after earning close to $10 million that year.
“It’s Goin’ Down” peaked at No. 1 and No. 3 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart, respectively. The next single, “I Know U See It,” peaked at No. 2 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart and No. 17 on the Hot 100.
