Despite the fact that the program was first hinted at in May of 2020, Rick Riordan, the author of the five-book fantasy-adventure series, only made the formal announcement on January 25, 2022.
Riordan also contributed to the creation of the children’s book series The 39 Clues. He wrote several of the series’ volumes, including The Maze of Bones, which debuted at the top of The New York Times Best Seller list on September 28, 2008.
In the preface to the Puffin Classics version of Roger Lancelyn Green’s Tales of the Greek Heroes, he writes that the book encouraged him to create his Greek mythology trilogy.
