Djokovic, who was still listed as being eligible to compete in the US Open on Monday, has not received the Covid-19 vaccination, and since October 2021, the United States has prohibited the entrance of foreigners who have not received the vaccine.
Before flying from another country, a non-US person must at least present proof of having been completely vaccinated against Covid-19, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the nation’s health protection body.
