Popular actor Leonard Fenton, who played Dr Harold Legg in EastEnders, has died at the age of 95.
He appeared in the first episode of EastEnders in February 1985, with his last scenes airing in 2019.

The family in a statement said: “The family of the actor Leonard Fenton are heartbroken to announce his death at the age of 95 on Saturday, January 29.”
Leonard was born to Jewish parents in East London.
From 1937 to 1944, he studied at Raine Foundation Grammar School, before training to be a civil engineer at King’s College London.
He was also drafted in as an army engineer during World War II.
After spending some years working as an engineer, Leonard decided to study acting and attended the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art after winning a scholarship.
He appeared in a total of 267 episodes of EastEnders, with viewers saying a final farewell to his character in 2019.
