Despite not planning to run for office this year, Kim Kardashian has been a part of past conversations surrounding the presidential race. In 2020, she seemed to show support for her ex-husband Kanye West when he announced his bid for President against Donald Trump and Joe Biden on the Fourth of July.
Speculation about Kim Kardashian’s potential presidential run has been fueled by a picture of her with Vice President Kamala Harris taken during her last visit to Washington D.C. in April 2024. This image has resurfaced on social media, leading many internet users to believe that she may be considering a run for office.
In a 2018 interview with CNN’s Van Jones, Kim Kardashian mentioned that she wouldn’t rule out the possibility of running for President in the future. While she clarified that public service wasn’t in her immediate plans, she left the door open by saying, “I guess never say never.”
During her visit to the White House in April 2024, Kim met with Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss criminal reform. This wasn’t the first time she had been to the White House, as she had previously advocated for the release of Alice Johnson, who was serving a life sentence for a nonviolent crime.
