Jerrod Carmichael is a popular American stand-up comedian and actor. He is also a known filmmaker who has appeared in HBO: Love at the Store, 8, Rothaniel, and many others.

In his new HBO special, “Rothaniel,” Jerrod Carmichael, has come out as gay.

Jerrod Carmichael surprised many audiences with his announcement while hosting Saturday Night Live.

Jerrod Carmichael said in his announcement,  “After that was out in the open, I was left alone feeling like a liar because I had a secret.”

“One that I kept from my father, my mother, my family, my friends, and you. Professionally, personally. And the secret is that I’m gay.”

The audience applauded his revelation.
