On the set of the television program Men in Trees, Anne Heche and James Tupper became friends.
Son Atlas, Heche’s second child, was their first child together when they gave birth in 2009.
However, the pair decided to call it quits early in 2018 after dating for more than ten years without getting married.
The two were still engaged in a contentious custody dispute as of February 2020, and Heche accused Tupper of losing $450,000 through “shady dealings.” Tupper refuted her assertions and suggested that Heche’s claims might be the result of “extended drug use.”
Heche claimed that Tupper locked her and their son out of their home because Tupper was trying to sell the property without her knowledge, according to court records acquired by Radar.
They first consented to visit the house occasionally, but on different weekends.
Heche claimed Tupper altered the security codes and keys, and she petitioned the court for an urgent decision regarding the custody order in order to avoid further lockouts.
James is essentially attempting to prevent me from entering the home while I am under his care because I am fighting his sale of the Family Residence, Heche claimed in a statement.
That is not a legitimate reason to alter our current custody arrangement, nor is it a reason to restrict my access to the family home while I am in custody.
