Leontine Florence Mary Welch born 28 August 1986 is an English singer and songwriter who is the lead vocalist and primary composer for the indie rock band Florence and the Machine. Lungs, the band’s debut studio album, topped the UK Albums Chart and received the Brit Award for Best British Album.
Their subsequent four albums all charted well. In 2018, Welch published Useless Magic, a collection of her lyrics and poems, as well as her artwork.
