American football quarterback Derek Carr represents the National Football League’s Las Vegas Raiders.

He twice earned first-team All-MWC recognition while competing for the Fresno State college football team. He participated in the NFL from 2002 through 2012 for multiple teams. His uncle was a tight end for the Raiders and played in that position.

Carr’s brother, David Carr, was chosen first overall by the Houston Texans in the 2002 NFL Draft.

David played in the NFL for several clubs from 2002 to 2012. Carr’s uncle, Lon Boyett, was a tight end for the Raiders in 1978. Carr and Heather Neel married on June 29, 2012. The couple has a daughter and three sons.
