Is Alfonso Freeman related to Morgan Freeman?

Alfonso was born on September 13, 1959, at County General Hospital in Los Angeles to Morgan Freeman and Loletha Adkins (Polk) and grew up in Compton, California. He studied art at Cal State Long Beach for a short time. Alfonso did not meet his famous father in person until 1984 when he came to Los Angeles to film The Atlanta Child Murders for television (1985). Their first conversation took place over the phone in 1979, while Alfonso was working as a telemarketer. In 1982, Alfonso married for the first time and had three sons. Cynthia, his first wife, and he divorced in 1989. In 1994, he remarried to Larcenia (pronounced LAR-SEEN-YA) Young.

Although he provided voice work for an episode of Robot Chicken (2001), he did not appear in the sketch “March of the Penguin,” a Batman-related parody of the film that spoofs his father Morgan Freeman’s narration of March of the Penguins (2005). He didn’t sound like his father enough to play the role. The narrator is portrayed by Tom Kane.
