Norris is the younger sibling of Wieland Clyde Norris (born March 10, 1940) and Chuck Norris (1943–1970).
Aaron and his older brother Wieland both enlisted in the American Army during the Vietnam War. In 1970, Wieland lost his life in action in Vietnam. Norris is the uncle of Mike and Eric Norris through Chuck.
He and his brother Chuck received the honorary Texas Ranger designation on December 2, 2010, from Texas Governor Rick Perry.
