She was the third child and youngest. The majority of Newton-school John’s years were spent in Melbourne, Australia, where her family relocated when she was 5 years old.

Her biological mother is said to have passed on at the age of 89 years in 2003. However, how she died and what exactly killed her still remain a mystery to unravel.

Olivia Newton-John, a dynamic performer and actor known for everything from her role as Sandy in the Grease movie to her five No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, passed on unexpectedly at age 73 today (August 8 ).

She passed away peacefully on Monday morning at her ranch in Southern California, according to a statement from her husband that was posted on her Instagram.

Her husband John Easterling wrote, (Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer.)

Newton-John devoted the majority of the second half of her career to supporting cancer patients and survivors. In spite of receiving her initial breast cancer diagnosis three decades ago, she remained upbeat throughout her 30-year battle with the disease.
