A popular influencer in Brazil has tragically passed away after a stunt gone wrong while filming content for his social media followers.
Diego Kaua Oliveira Santos, known as MC Diegun Md, fell into Lake Salto Grande in Americana and drowned while out with friends.
Diego, who had amassed over 128,000 followers on Instagram, had promised his fans “something live” during his visit to the artificial lake before the incident occurred. Despite the efforts of his friends to save him, he was swept away by the water.
Authorities in Brazil have labeled the incident as a suspicious death and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding Diego’s tragic passing. It is reported that Diego was recording content for his social media platforms at the time of the accident.
Before the unfortunate incident, Diego shared a series of posts on his social media pages showing him enjoying time with friends and indulging in acai. His brother later accessed his Instagram profile to thank fans for their support and share the heartbreaking news of Diego’s passing.
Diego’s brother described him as a motivating and supportive individual who pushed him to pursue his dreams. A funeral was held for the young influencer at Parque das Palmeiras Cemetery.
Diego was not only a social media influencer but also a singer and composer, known for sharing his work with his online followers.
