Ghanaian musician Patapaa has confidently responded to critics who doubted his ability to fill the Indigo O2 in London. Despite the skepticism from naysayers, the artist believes that the 2,800-capacity venue will not be enough to contain his fans when he performs there.
After witnessing rapper Medikal sell out the Indigo O2 for his concert last month, Patapaa took to Twitter to express his interest in achieving the same feat and even requested contacts to the venue. Many Ghanaians dismissed his ambitions as a mere joke, but Patapaa remains unfazed.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the musician, whose real name is Justice Amoa, confidently stated, “Surely, my team and I will make it happen. We will fill the Indigo at The O2. My fans all over Europe, especially those in the UK, have always waited for that day.”
He further revealed that several promoters have reached out to him to help make his dream a reality, but he is only interested in working with Ghanaian promoters to ensure that the event is done their way.
Patapaa, who rose to fame in 2017 with his hit song “One Corner,” has faced criticism from some quarters who question his talent and success in the music industry. However, the artist is determined to prove his critics wrong and showcase his true talent on the international stage.
He expressed his dissatisfaction with the negative labeling and ridicule he has faced, noting that it has affected his career. Patapaa remains focused on reversing the misconceptions about his talent and proving his worth in the music industry.
