India Adlis Everett was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA on July 15, 1992. Though a well-known actress and model, India Everett was best known as a journalist and news anchor from the Midwest until she began appearing in film and television projects in Los Angeles, California. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, before her family relocated to a small island off the coast of Seattle, Washington, a few years later. Growing up on Vashon Island, she was heavily involved in athletic, academic, and artistic pursuits, and she was recognized for her accomplishments in all three. She went on to earn a degree in TV & Radio Broadcast Journalism with Honors from the country’s top journalism school at the time, the University of Missouri.
She had worked as a reporter, anchor, and sports anchor at KOMU 8 News in Missouri for several years before taking on the larger task of launching a new morning show for a Midwest FOX affiliate in Minnesota. (For her work at KOMU, she was named Missouri Professional Communicator of the Year in 2012.) As the show’s lead anchor and producer, India created Fox in the Morning from the ground up. She also made a brief appearance on their network in the popular Cooking With India segments, but both were canceled after less than a year.
