Sources reveal to TMZ Hip Hop that Suge Knight, who is currently serving a 28-year sentence for the 2015 killing of Terry Carter, is collaborating with his brother on a TV series that will start filming this summer. The series will have a similar feel to 50 Cent’s “BMF” and will explore Suge’s backstory as a kid growing up in Compton who aspired to be a football coach.

Despite being behind bars, Suge is reportedly very hands-on in the process of selecting a director and actors for the project, especially when it comes to the Tupac Shakur role. According to sources, Suge is more focused on the acting skills of the actor playing Tupac, rather than their physical resemblance. The actor must also be able to capture the mannerisms and style of the late icon.

Suge’s team has yet to release further details about the TV series. With the success of recent music biopics and documentaries, it will be interesting to see how this series sheds new light on the notorious rap mogul’s life.
