In-form Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Yakubu Nassam bags brace to lead HK Rangers to big win

Ghanaian forward, Ibrahim Yakubu Nassam, was the star of the show on Sunday as he scored twice to help Hong Kong Rangers thrash HK U23 5-0 in the Hong Kong Premier League.

Nassam, who has been in impressive form, was named in the starting lineup for the Round 20 clash as his team played as hosts. Just five minutes into the game, a penalty was awarded to HK Rangers, and Nassam stepped up to confidently convert from the spot, giving his side an early lead.

The hosts continued to dominate proceedings, with Ryoto Hayashi adding a second goal ten minutes later. Yumeni Kanda then got on the scoresheet before halftime to give Hong Kong Rangers a comfortable advantage.

In the second half, Nassam grabbed his second goal of the game to complete a brace and further extend his team’s lead. Remi Dujardin later added a fifth goal to seal a comprehensive 5-0 victory for Hong Kong Rangers.

With his brace in this match, Ibrahim Yakubu Nassam has now scored 12 goals in 18 appearances in the Hong Kong Premier League this season, establishing himself as a key player for his team.
