German-born Ghanaian forward, Braydon Manu, has expressed his eagerness to make a comeback to the Black Stars national team in the future.
Manu, who was initially selected by CK Akonnor in 2022 for the World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa, admitted in recent interviews that he did not feel deserving of a call-up at the time.
Despite missing out on his debut after being sidelined for both matches, the former Darmstadt winger is determined to rejoin the Black Stars squad and contribute to their upcoming fixtures. Manu, who was left out of Otto Addo’s recent call-up, emphasized his readiness to represent Ghana whenever called upon.
“I am fully prepared to play for Ghana. If I am fit and available, I am more than willing to answer the coach and the Ghana Football Association’s call,” Manu told JoySports. He also urged for the public’s support for the team in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers as they aim to secure qualification.
Now a 26-year-old free agent, Manu had a challenging season with Darmstadt in the Bundesliga, spending a significant amount of time on the sidelines due to injury.
Despite this setback, he remains optimistic about his future prospects with the Black Stars and is eager to make a positive impact on the national team.
