Kumawood star Christian Akwasi Asamoah, popularly known as Big Akwes, has admitted that he has regretted campaigning for President Nana Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the last general elections.

The controversial actor and television personality was among Agya Koo, Prince David Osei, and a tall list of movie legends and stars who campaigned tirelessly during Ghana’s last two presidential elections.

But it looks like he has regretted his actions and decisions after the hardships facing citizens.

Ghana is currently facing economic hardship and massive corruption despite a mountain of promises President Akudo-Addo make during the last elections.

Reacting to the economic hardships and the government’s hand in some fraudulent and corrupt allegations lately, Big Akwes said he would be thrown into a hellfire when he dies because he is disappointed in the president.

According to him, even if there’s heaven, he prefers to go to hell due to his involvement in Akufo-Addo’s re-election.

“When I die, I’ll go to hell. Immediately I pass away, I’d be thrown into hell fire,” he said in a TikTok video he posted.” If there’s any heaven that people would go to, I’d not be part.”

“Why? Because I campaigned for Nana Akufo-Addo, and he really disappointed me,” he disclosed.

Big Akwes isn’t the only Akufo-Addo supporter who has expressed his disappointment in the government. Recently, Prince David Osei has been lashing out at Akufo Addo on his social media platforms.
