Iga Swiatek siblings: Meet her sister Agata Swiatek
Agata Swiatek is Iga Swiatek’s older sister by three years. She is currently a dentistry student at the Medical University of Lublin.
Before becoming a dentistry student, she was an athlete. Her father wanted his children to become competitive athletes. Swiatek initially began as a swimmer but later switched to tennis. Her sister Iga, followed her to tennis because she wanted to be more like her sister and also because she wanted to beat her.
After briefly competing in the ITF Junior Circuit in 2013 when she was 15, she left tennis due to injuries.
Who are their parents?
Their mother is Dorota Swiatek, who is an orthodontist.
Their father is Tomasz Swiatek who is a former rower. He competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics in the men’s quadruple sculls event, where he placed 7th.
He also represented Poland in three World Rowing Championships in 1987, 1989, and 1990.
