Kwame Sefa Kayi asserts that while a man should naturally be drawn to the accomplishments of his fellow humans, that attraction should stop there.
He remarked, “I can be attracted to your woman, your business sense, your education, and the way you dress, but I cannot be attracted to my fellow man.”
“If you are a man and you are attracted to other men, then you have problems and you need all the help in the world,” the speaker said.
He made it clear that he supports the majority leader’s position on the anti-gay measure, who has been fighting for the protection of the rights of those affected by the legislation.
An anti-gay law was approved by Ghana’s parliament on February 28, 2024.
It is anticipated that the measure would be delivered to Ghana’s president, who will then sign it into law.
Due to an alleged financial commitment, the president has declined to approve private member legislation that have been enacted by parliament in recent months.
The new measure will subject anybody found guilty to a potential five-year prison sentence for founding or supporting LGBTQ+ organizations.
