Driver Hilary Dodoo, a former Opoku Ware Senior High School student who was studying for a Ph.D. in the US, has been identified as the cause of the horrible disaster. Hilary had spent the Christmas season back in Ghana with his wife and kids.
Mr. Dodoo was his way to a funeral in Kumasi when the unfortunate event occurred. At the Obuasi Campus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), his SUV struck a shuttle bus carrying about fifty fourth-year students from the Civil Engineering department head-on.
This instantaneous accident tragically claimed Hilary Dodoo’s life. As per the accounts, he passed away immediately.
The deceased was married and had two children, therefore he leaves behind a bereaved family.
Everyone in the community is in mourning at the passing of a bright future leader who returned to Ghana for the holidays, committed to his studies, and loved people.
