Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei gave the New Patriotic Party (NPP) a seven out of 10 rating for its rule over the last eight years.

He praised the government’s outstanding accomplishment despite the hurdles provided by the COVID-19 outbreak.

However, he criticized the administration’s lack of support for the creative arts business.

During a conversation on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, Osei emphasized the government’s lack of attention and funding for the creative industry.

“On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d rate them 7.”

“I’ve always been saying that enough attention is not being paid to the creative sector, and the ministers and the deputy ministers and the people who are part of us that we put in place of authority are not doing much,” the actor was quoted as saying.

He stated that the sector deserved a bigger portion of the country’s resources and should be acknowledged for its contributions to Ghana’s progress.

“I believe the creative arts (business) should be well equipped. “We should have more of the national cake,” he stated.

Prince David Osei also stressed the importance of creatives in giving entertainment and emotional support to the populace.

He advocated for more respect and investment in the arts, claiming that without sufficient backing, the country is missing out on
