Ghanaian actor Joseph Osei, mostly recognized as Wayoosi from his roles in Kumawood, has given his full support to John Dramani Mahama’s run for the presidency in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Wayoosi highlighted Mahama’s extensive track record of development projects, especially praising initiatives like the Kejetia Market in Kumasi, which he believes are essential for business growth with Mahama’s support.
In an interview, Wayoosi encouraged Ghanaians to cast their votes for Mahama to tackle economic challenges and continue the positive advancements seen during his previous term. The actor expressed his optimism in Mahama’s proposed 24-hour economy strategy, citing his accomplishments during his previous tenure as proof of his capability.
With Mahama competing against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other contenders, the election is scheduled for December 7, 2024. Wayoosi shared, “I would be immensely pleased to see Mahama ascend to the presidency once more. His personal contributions aside, the 24-hour economy strategy he proposes is promising, given his prior accomplishments.”
