Felix Owusu Gyimah, the municipal chief executive for Nkwanta South in the Oti Region, has pledged to put the municipality’s peace and unity first.

During his confirmation hearing in the Nkwanta South Assembly, Gyimah stated that in order to put an end to the conflict and promote peaceful coexistence, it is imperative to address the underlying causes of the conflict and work toward inclusive development.

According to him, inclusive social justice is necessary to give each and every citizen a sense of worth and respect. He praised the security council as well as other concerned parties for maintaining the peace in the region.

In order to find a long-term resolution to the tribal conflict, he promised to “ensure that the peace and unity of the area continued.”

In order to put an end to the suffering of commuters and traders, Geoffrey Kini, the MP for Nkwanta South, urged the MCE and the government to take into consideration repairing the terrible roads in the constituency.

In order to establish long-lasting peace in the region, Kini pleaded with the Interior Ministry to form a peace committee to look into the Nkwanta South conflict.

Felix Owusu Gyimah, the presidential candidate, received 38 votes, or 90.52%, from the 42 assembly members.

Recently, there have been tribal conflicts in Nkwanta and the surrounding area that have claimed lives and destroyed property.
