Boxing celebrity and musician Braimah Kamoko known popularly as Bukom Banku, 43, confessed he was once a regular thief at Accra’s bustling Makola market.
In a candid interview on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo midmorning show on May 29, 2024, he shared his past experiences with host Nana Romeo.
“Yes,” Braimah Isaac Kamoko, known as Bukom Banku, admitted in Pidgin when asked if he had a history of stealing. “At the time, we were at Bukom, my boys and I.
We’d go to Makola to steal PK [gum], money, snatching bags… Oh, I have done that before,” he revealed, noting he quit after starting his boxing career in 1995.
