Renowned Hiplife artiste, Okyeame Kwame, is determined to clinch the coveted Ghana Music Awards’ Artiste of the Year for the second time in his career.

The rapper, who last won the award 15 years ago in 2009, has been making waves in the music industry for over two decades.

Despite being in the industry for a long time, Okyeame Kwame has not lost his touch and continues to work hard. His recent song ‘Insha Allah’ featuring King Paluta has earned him a nomination in this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards for Hiplife Song of the Year.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the Rap Dacta expressed his excitement at being nominated once again after 26 years in the music industry. He sees the nomination as a sign that people appreciate his work and it motivates him to do even more.

“I’m working hard to win the ultimate Artiste of the Year award again. It’s a must for me, so I need to change the narrative by dropping a massive album, hopefully this year. I will put in more work to achieve the goal,” Okyeame Kwame said.

The artist, whose real name is Kwame Nsiah Apau, has shown resilience and dedication in an industry that often “retires” older performers. He previously won the Ghana Music Awards Group of the Year and Hiplife Song of the Year in 2000 with his group, Akyeame, before going solo and winning the Artiste of the Year award in 2009.

Okyeame Kwame’s commitment to his craft and his determination to succeed make him a strong contender for the Artiste of the Year award once again.

Fans can expect more great music from this talented artist as he continues to push boundaries and defy expectations.
