Renowned Nigerian music sensation, Tiwa Savage recently spoke out about the challenges she faced when her private video went viral online.
The renowned Afrobeats artist revealed that she had paid an IT expert to erase the leaked tape from the internet after being blackmailed over it in October 2021.
During an interview with Power 105.1 host Angie Martins in New York, Tiwa Savage disclosed that the ‘AtoPa’ tape was made with her then-partner, and the blackmailer sent the video to her manager, who subsequently forwarded it to her.
Despite attempts to negotiate with the blackmailer, a few weeks later, the video surfaced online, causing significant distress.
Tiwa Savage’s bold decision to take control of the situation by hiring an IT expert to erase the footage from the internet showcases her determination and strength in the face of adversity.
