I only submitted my song few weeks to deadline – Celestine Donkor explains TGMA exclusion

Ghanaian gospel artist Celestine Donkor has recently shared insight into why she was not nominated for this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

In an interview on Hitz FM, Celestine revealed that she submitted her song ‘Come and See’ for consideration, even though it was released in November, just a few weeks before the nomination window closed.

As a result, she fell short of the requirements set by the TGMA Board and was not included in the nominations.

Despite not receiving any nominations, Celestine Donkor showed her support for her fellow gospel performers and congratulated all the nominees and potential winners. She commended their dedication and hard work in the industry.

Celestine also expressed her willingness to perform at the awards ceremony if given the opportunity. Her positive attitude and support for her peers showcase her professionalism and respect for the gospel music fraternity.

It is clear that Celestine Donkor remains a valued member of the gospel music community, and her grace and humility in the face of disappointment are to be commended.

We look forward to seeing more of her inspirational music and performances in the future.
