President of the Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku Mantey, has revealed that he led an agenda to blacklist Sarkodie’s Mary album on radio when the album was released in 2015.

In the course of making his submission on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Mark Okraku Mantey disclosed that he masterminded the agenda against Sarkodie owing to some disrespectful comments he claims the multiple award winning rapper made about Joy FM.

In September 2015, Sarkodie tweeted that his respect for Joy FM had been absolutely extinguished.

The above tweet by Sarkodie was triggered by a story carried on Myjonline, which stated that Sarkodie had intimated in an interview that he had come of age so he does not just grant interviews. According to the said story, Sarkodie was purported to have made that statement in an interview with Dr. Pounds on Hitz FM while on a radio tour to promote his 4th studio album, the Mary album.

Mark Okraku Mantey further revealed that he personally told Sarkodie directly that he initiated the blacklisting agenda against him because of the disrespectful comments he made about Joy FM to serve as a lesson to the highly decorated rapper.
