I have the same motivation no matter the location or competition- Kudus Mohammed

Mohammed Kudus, a midfielder for Ghana, claims that he doesn’t change where he plays or the competition he plays in when it comes to his desire to be the best.

After helping West Ham defeat AFC Bournemouth 1-1 in the English Premier League following his return from the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire, he made this statement in a post-match interview.

After Dominic Solanke gave Bournemouth the lead in the third minute, James Ward-Prowse scored a penalty kick to tie the score in the 61st minute for Kudus.

The 23-year-old Kudus’s influence increased as the game progressed, and he expressed his resolve to play for the Hammers following the AFCON, despite missing four games due to his participation in the competition.

“Whenever I step onto the pitch, my motivation is always the same. Whatever the setting or the opposition, my goal is always to get better with each game.

“I’m upset about being eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations, but I have to accept the situation and move on. Now that I’m back with West Ham, I want to give this team my all.”

Kudus’ efforts were insufficient to advance the Black Stars past the first round of the 2023 AFCON, despite scoring twice in two goals and taking home two Man of the Match Awards.
