Nigerian music sensation, Tekno, has finally broken his silence on the rumors circulating about him receiving over N1bn in royalties from fellow artist Kizz Daniel for their collaboration on the hit song “Buga.”

According to reports, Tekno allegedly claimed that Kizz Daniel had generously paid him royalties exceeding N1bn for their work together on “Buga.” It was further mentioned that Kizz Daniel has been sending him 50% of all the revenue generated from the song.

Setting the record straight, Tekno took to social media to express his outrage at the false claims. In a post on X, Tekno vehemently denied the allegations and even went as far as cursing out whoever was responsible for spreading the misinformation. He wrote, “Him money no reach, anybody wey put out that fake interview, thunder fire your mama… #Talkingshit.”

The chart-topping track “Buga” was released on 3rd May 2022 and quickly gained immense popularity in Nigeria, eventually becoming the most Shazamed song around the globe at the time of its release.

It is clear that Tekno is not one to stay silent when faced with false rumors, and his response to this particular situation reinforces his commitment to the truth.
