I enjoyed my time with both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak – Edward Afum

Experienced striker Edward Afum recently shared his thoughts on playing for two of Ghana’s most iconic clubs, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak. The 34-year-old player revealed that he had the opportunity to feature for both teams during his career.

Afum started his career with Asante Kotoko before making a switch to their rivals, Hearts of Oak. This move sparked a debate among football fans in Ghana about which club is more prestigious to play for.

During an interview with Bryt FM in Koforidua, Afum expressed his satisfaction with both clubs, stating that he enjoyed his time playing for them. He highlighted the positive treatment he received from both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak during his spells with each team.

“I had a good experience playing for both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak. The clubs treated me well, and I was happy with the opportunities I had while playing for them,” Afum said.

Currently without a club, Afum has not confirmed whether he will retire from football or make a return to the pitch. His reflections on his time with Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak shed light on the rich history and passionate fanbase of these two legendary Ghanaian clubs.
