The famous Nigerian musician David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has revealed some shocking information regarding his father’s fortune.
He claims that he was unaware of their wealth until he turned thirteen.
Davido discussed his background in an exclusive interview, highlighting his father’s strict personality and saying, “All this talk about being rich, my dad is very disciplined. You can tell like he is a very very disciplined man”. “I said I didn’t know we had money untill I was thirteen”. I’m telling you, my dad drove a Honda Accord and he was a billionaire.
Davido, the “Unavailable” hitmaker also considered a pivotal instance that demonstrated the extent of his father’s wealth.
“Let me tell you how I knew he was lit. Something happened in Nigeria, in the area where we lived. There was a mistake, like a bomb blast happened and many houses got destroyed, It happens in America, but like something blew up.
“Our first house, from my birth until around age 11, was a big compound with a bungalow. When that incident occurred, we had to leave immediately because the house got so messed up”,
He continued by telling the story of how he came to know of his father’s fortune and how something that happened in their area caused them to move out of their first home suddenly.
