Renowned gospel artist, Philipa Baafi, recently shared her incredible journey of overcoming obstacles to achieve academic success amidst personal tragedy.

Losing her parents early in life, she faced challenges but remained resolute in her studies. Despite adversity, she excelled in Senior High School but couldn’t pursue further education at the time. However, her passion for medicine persisted.

With determination and divine grace, Philipa returned to education later in life, earning a first-class honour in Physician Assistant studies despite being over 40.

“I lost my parents while I was in primary school. My mother also died when I got to SHS. Even though I was a brilliant student, it was tough for me. Aside my calling to do music, I had the passion to become a medical professional.”
