A husband allegedly killed his wife shortly after their wedding and put her body in a bag, according to court testimony.
Four days after Dawn Walker and Thomas Nutt wed, her body was found in a field.
Since her wedding reception at The Prince Albert pub in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, the 52-year-old grandmother has not been seen.
Later, Nutt, 45, was shown on camera wheeling a sizable luggage to the shrubs behind his house.
Police arrived at his front door to look into a missing person report a few seconds later, the court was told.
It’s common knowledge that a person’s wedding day is among their happiest moments.
Sadly, Ms. Walker was not in this situation, the prosecutor, Alistair MacDonald, told the jury.
According to him, Nutt reported his wife missing from the marital residence at Lightcliffe, close to Halifax, to police on October 31.
The harsh reality, however, is that Nutt knew full well that her body was lying dead in a cupboard on the home, according to Mr. MacDonald.
