Horizon’s ensemble cast continues to grow with the addition of Dickinson and Ella Hunt, stars of the recent Telluride world premiere, Lady Chatterley’s Lover.
Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jamie Campbell Bower, Luke Wilson, Thomas Haden Church, Jena Malone, Alejandro Edda, Tatanka Means, Michael Rooker, and Isabelle Fuhrman have joined the cast.
Costner is producing through his Territory Pictures and directing, starring in, and co-writing the film, which is his first in the Civil War era since the multi-Oscar-winning Dances With Wolves. The Warner Bros./New Line project was co-written by Jon Baird. After his critically acclaimed 2003 western, Open Range, Costner returns to directing.
Horizon follows the pre-andpost-Civil War growth and colonization of the American West during a 15-year period.
The epic voyage is loaded with hazards and intrigue, from the continual onslaught of natural elements to contacts with indigenous peoples who lived on the land, and the resolve and, at times, cruelty of those who attempted to colonize it.
Hunt starred as Sue, the titular protagonist’s long-time friend, confidante, and love interest, opposite Hailee Steinfeldin Apple TV’s popular series Dickinson.
She recently appeared opposite Emma Corrin and Jack O’Connell in the Netflix version of D.H. Lawrence’s novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover.
The actress most recently appeared in the Amazon Studios feature Master, directed by Mariama Diallo, and in the title role in Orion Pictures’ Anna and the Apocalypse.
