Hadrien Hugo Dominique Lloris, a goalkeeper for the France national team and Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, was born on December 26, 1986, in France. He has three times received the National Union of Professional Footballers’ (UNFP) Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year award.
Lloris began his professional career with the OGC Nice of his hometown, where he made his debut as a teenager in October 2005 and started in goal as the team advanced to the 2006 Coupe de la Ligue Final.
Despite interest from a number of other clubs, most notably Milan, Lloris departed the team after three successful seasons to join seven-time Ligue 1 champion Olympique Lyonnais.
French international Lloris has represented his nation at the under-18, under-19, and under-21 levels. Before moving up to the senior level, he was a member of the under-19 squad that won the 2005 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
In November 2008, Lloris made his senior international debut against Uruguay in a friendly game. The media hailed him for his two-leg performance against the Republic of Ireland, which helped France qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
