Solána Imani Rowe grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey after being born on November 8, 1989, in St. Louis, Missouri. Her mother worked as an executive at AT&T, while her father was an executive producer at CNN.
Rowe has an older brother named Daniel, called Manhattan, who is a rapper, and an older half-sister named Tiffany Daniels.
Her father is a Muslim, but her mother is a Christian. She was brought up as a Muslim and still adheres to its teachings.
Every day after finishing her regular education, she went to a Muslim preparatory school.
