How to know if someone blocked you on WhatsApp

In WhatsApp, blocking a user means that you are preventing them from sending you any messages, calls, or invitations to join groups. This can be done by either you or the other user, precisely.

Find below features and signs that may indicate if someone has blocked you on WhatsApp:

First and foremost, the user or you can no longer see their “Last Seen” status, “Online” status, or profile picture. In addition, your messages to them only show one check mark (message sent) but not two check marks (message delivered).

The user will not be able to call them on the phone or through video chat in the interim, and if they try to add you or someone else to a WhatsApp group, you will get a notification that says, “You are not authorized to add this contact.”

But remember that these indications could also appear if the person has modified their privacy settings, so they are not a 100% reliable indicator that you have been blocked. The only certain ways to find out if you have been blocked are when you attempt to message someone on a new WhatsApp account or when you try to call them, and it goes straight to voicemail. If you are still unable to contact them by phone or message, you must presume that you have been blocked.
