M.anifest, Shatta Wale and Sarkodie |
The beef is getting scary — and we only pray it doesn’t get physical because we simply don’t want it.
After so many years of rumours, SarkCess Music’s Sarkodie and M.anifest announced their beef — and it happened in a grand style. Sarkodie opened for it — and M.anifest was fast to jump in.
Sarkodie opened the long awaited lyrical battle with “Bossy” which we were all expecting acts like E.L to reply since the diss was all over him. But it turned out to be the unexpected.
M.anifest took an unexpected turn and dropped a power-packed 3:50 minutes Afro-Trap banger titled “god MC” to condemn and denounce Sarkodie’s kingship in the rap fraternity.
Ghanaians reacted — especially those on social media giving their own verdicts in favour of M.anifest.
But that wasn’t over! Sark had more to do the damage control.
Just yesterday, July 3, Sarkodie responded with Desiigner’s hit song “Panda” and called his version “Kanta”.
Since then, Ghanaians on social media haven’t slept. They are all giving their verdicts — and it’s more fun.
But there’s something we are all forgetting. We are forgetting who instigated and refereed the beef which is the talk of the day.
We are talking about Dancehall musician Shatta Wale, who is known for numerous beefs in the industry.
Just when M.anifest dropped his “god MC”, the “Kakai” singer drew everyone’s attention to the beef (indirectly announced) with just a tweet. He wrote;
wow ghana is getting sweet…i love beef especially the one’s with no spices… hahahaha i run enter @manifestive ntrotro inside .. hahahaa— SHATTA WALE (@shattawalegh) July 1, 2016
Then after Sarkodie dropped his response, he tweeted again. He wrote;
i just love hip hop big up @manifestive and @sarkodie ..this looks very healthy… cant stop listening to you guys 😂😂😂😂— SHATTA WALE (@shattawalegh) July 4, 2016
Finally, he announced that he will release his verdict on the rap battle. He tweeted;
On 30th of July ill give Ghana my final judgement on who Won the rap diss please im waiting for the other contestants— SHATTA WALE (@shattawalegh) July 4, 2016
Did Shatta Wale really do a great job?
