Dearest gentle readers, I come with good news and bad news.
We can all attest to the fact that Season 1 of Bridgerton took the world by storm. In all the excitement and wonder, we all fell in love with each character, especially the Duke of Hastings, played by Regé-Jean Page.
The season ended with the Duke of Hastings, and Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor, welcoming their son.
However, it came as a shock in Season 2, (but not to those who have actually read the books), when the Duke was absent.
It’s understandable, as that particular season was dedicated to two other characters, Anthony and Kate. However, with an appearance by Daphne, the viewers expected to see the handsome Duke by her side.
Now with the bad news, according to Page, he has no intention of returning to the show. He added that they are free to do as they like in relation to potentially being recast.
The good news is, there is a possibility of us seeing the Duke’s character in later seasons, including the upcoming Season 3.
