Millie Bobby Brown (born February 19, 2004) is a British actress and producer. Brown was born in the Spanish town of Málaga, Marbella. Brown is the third of four children born to Kelly and Robert Brown, a British estate agent. She was born with hearing loss in her left ear and gradually lost all hearing in that ear over time.
She rose to prominence as Eleven in the Netflix science fiction series Stranger Things (2016-present), for which she was nominated for two Primetime Emmys. Brown was featured in Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and Godzilla vs. Kong (2019). She also appeared in and helped to write the 2022 follow-up to the 2020 Netflix mystery movie Enola Holmes.
In the ABC fantasy drama series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, a spinoff of the original Once Upon a Time, Brown made her acting debut in 2013 playing the part of Young Alice. She played Madison O’Donnell, the lead character, in the supernatural drama-thriller series Intruders on BBC America in 2014. She made brief cameos in the ABC procedural NCIS, the CBS crime drama Grey’s Anatomy, and the ABC sitcom Modern Family.
